2 Mins read

Faith & Freedom Newspaper will host the 4th Annual “Lord, Heal Our Land” community Day of Prayer Wednesday, July 4th at the Courthouse Square in Yadkinville NC. The event, celebrating the 242nd Birthday of our nation, begins at 10:45 a.m. and will conclude around 2:30 p.m. The event is based on God’s promises found in 2 Chronicles 7:14 in the KJV Bible:

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

For the first time, this year’s event will feature Reverend Mark H. Creech, Executive Director of North Carolina Christian Action League. Dr. Ron Baity, founder and President of Return America will be back for the 4th consecutive year to address the gathering. The Nunn Sisters, a local group, well-known for their spirit-filled gospel harmony will be on stage for their very first appearance at “Lord, Heal Our Land.

Chief of Police, Tim Parks and Sheriff Ricky Oliver will be on hand as well to address and welcome event goers. Many other speakers including local pastors, Randy Johnson of Marler Road Baptist, Mark Hall of Calvary Baptist and Donnie Shumate of Bethel Baptist will be preaching.

America’s healing will begin only when Christians realize that it is ultimately our silence and our failure to fight the good fight which has allowed evil to run rampant in America. When we humble ourselves and repent before almighty God and earnestly seek His face, turning our hearts in unison to a merciful God, then will we once again experience healing and blessings on this nation.

Free drinks and water, compliments of Pepsi Bottling of Jonesville will be available along with free cookies, compliments of Subway of Hamptonville. Free face painting, free balloons and hand-held American flags will all be available while supplies last! T-Shirts commemorating the event will be available for purchase at the event. For the second year in a row, event-goers will be able to register for door prizes to be awarded throughout the event donated by sponsors and area merchants. Winners must be present for prizes to be awarded.

Many businesses and individuals come together and dedicate their time and talent as well as resources to give the community this day of prayer and celebration of America’s heritage and Godly foundation.

Bring your lawn chairs, your love for God and patriotism for Country and join us in raising our voices as one to seek God’s face, ask forgiveness for America’s apostasy and pray that God will bring healing and blessings once again to our beloved United States of America!
