Cancer Survivor Told She May Never Conceive Gives Birth to Miracle Baby

1 Mins read

Two years after marrying her soulmate, Kayla Rogers was shaken by news no one wants to hear: breast cancer. While the diagnosis was hard to bear, Kayla and her husband, country artist Grayson Rogers, stood firm in their faith in the Lord to “bring us through.”

She underwent chemotherapy treatments as 2020 began. But another round of bad news shook Kayla and her hope of one day being a mother. The couple was told that the treatment would likely render Kayla unable to conceive a child naturally.

“Kayla was crushed,” Grayson explained to The Epoch Times. “She had dreamed all her life of being a mom, and she felt like her hopes and dreams had come crashing down.”

However, instead of giving up the pursuit of becoming pregnant, Kayla began, instead, to proclaim that “God was going to do the impossible…” and that He would make it possible for her to conceive naturally.

Kayla’s hope that God would come through for her was bolstered when a girl from the couple’s church came to their house with a bouquet of flowers, and a prophetic word that God had sent her to tell them that next year she would be a mother.

That September, a positive pregnancy test confirmed that Kayla’s prayers were being answered. Taking to Instagram to share the happy news, Grayson posted, “The Lord works in mysterious ways. This time last year, we were gearing up for Kayla’s cancer treatment to begin. This year, we’re celebrating a miracle, coming this spring!”

Baby Joella was born on May 18th, a healthy 8 lbs, 7 oz. Grayson added that her name means “the Lord is God,” and “His will be done.”

“Don’t give up hope. What the world says is nearly impossible is definitely possible with God at the center.” -Kayla Rogers
