Transgender at 2-years-old? 'Baloney!

1 Mins read

A man with personal experience contends people pushing youngsters into confused sexual identity – like one West Coast psychologist is doing – are making those children unhealthy.

Dr. Diane Ehrensaft has written a manifesto (The Gender Creative Child) for transgender children, arguing that little ones as young as two years old are capable of deciding in which gender they want to live – and that parents ought to encourage it if that choice is opposite the child’s true gender. She is a licensed psychologist who teaches at University of California-San Francisco and is director of mental health at its Child and Adolescent Gender Center.

“That’s baloney!” says speaker and author Walt Heyer. “What we have today is a lot of people who want to damage [and] destroy young people by educating them to think that they can become a different gender – and the fact of the matter is that such an assertion is child abuse.”

Heyer argues it’s natural for children to be curious about gender roles of men and women. “That is perfectly healthy,” he continues. “What is psychologically, emotionally, and socially unhealthy is to guide them away from the gender that they were made.”

Heyer alleges that Ehrensaft’s personal views aren’t supported by science and are intended to advance the transgender agenda.

Heyer was born male but was encouraged to think female. Subsequently, he had transgender surgery and lived as a female before realizing how he had been led astray. He now lives male and is married to a woman.
