Recently, Florida’s Governor Ron DeSantis had the great pleasure of announcing that his wife, Casey was now declared “cancer free.”

The First Lady of Florida had let the public know back in October of 2021 that she was undergoing treatment and surgery for breast cancer. According to a Fox4Now update, Casey finished her last chemotherapy in January of this year.

Earlier that month, worship leader and artist Sean Feucht prayed over both the governor and his wife for healing. Feucht sent out an updated announcement about Gov. DeSantis’ wife, yesterday:

“On New Year’s Eve in Miami, we had the honor to pray for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, and his wife Casey. Casey was undergoing treatment for cancer, and we prayed for TOTAL HEALING AND RESTORATION. And today, we received news that Casey DeSantis is CANCER FREE!!!”

Governor DeSantis gave the joyful update on Casey, using the occasion to thank people for praying and to encourage others, saying, “…After going through both treatment and surgery for breast cancer, she is now considered cancer free. All of you who have given thoughts and prayers to my family and my wife, thank you. It’s lifted her spirits and made a tremendous difference. For all the women out there who are going through breast cancer right now—you can overcome this. I know it’s very difficult, but my wife is proof positive, and this is the exact type of news we had hoped for. She still has more to do, but I’m confident she’s going to make a full recovery. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. God Bless you all.
