n 2018, Pastors Dave and Kathy Powell went to a park swimming pool with their children. But that fun Saturday turned into a nightmare when their 9-year-old daughter, Annie, drowned. The parents were filled with horror seeing their daughter’s lifeless body as the lifeguard was doing CPR on her.

Amidst the trouble and commotion at the pool, Kathy desperately cried out to God for help. While Dave laid at Annie’s feet, praying that his daughter would come back to life. Soon after, the little girl was rushed to the hospital near the park. She was then stabilized at the hospital. However, her status was still critical because she had suffered cardiac arrest and respiratory failure. Hence, Annie had to be in a comatose state. The Powells then called out to their friends to pray with them for their daughter.

Consequently, Annie’s blood and oxygen levels became dangerously low, which could lead to irreversible damage to her heart and brain even if she would survive. Again, despite the odds, Dave and Kathy held on to God for hope.

Then in the hospital waiting room, dozens of people came to pray for a miracle.

“All we could do was just lean on God and pray,” Dave said. And prayers continued day and night for Annie’s healing. Until one day, God answered their prayers.

As Annie awoke, the 9-year-old shared an out-of-the-body experience that surprised everyone. She says she saw Jesus helping her in the pool and went to heaven.

Today, the young girl testifies to the miracle God demonstrated in her life
