A 99-year-old woman came into my office one day. I asked her what I could do for her and she said, “I want to die.” I then asked her where she thought she was going to go and she replied, “Hell.” I said, “Not in my office.”
I began to examine her and then I said, “There are other options. You don’t have to go to hell. You can go to heaven.” She replied that she wasn’t worthy. I told her I thought she was worthy, and if she called on the name of Jesus and accepted Him as Christ her Lord, she would be with Him in eternity. I asked her if she would like to do that, and she said yes.
I told her to repeat after me, “In the name of Jesus…,” but she refused to speak. She shut her mouth tight and wouldn’t open it. I gently put my hand on her head and said, “In the name of Jesus, I bind you, satan, to loose these lips.” After I said this, she opened her mouth again and accepted the salvation prayer and accepted Christ as Lord and Savior. She began to cry. I asked her why she was crying and she said, “I’ve never been this happy in 99 years.”
