When going through tough times, the Bible is an excellent source for inspiration and perseverance. Here are seven uplifting Bible verses that will hopefully encourage you through tough times.

1) Psalm 34:17
“When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.”
God will help us in our time of struggle – we just need to ask!

2) Proverbs 3:5-6
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”
Don’t feel like you need to do things alone! Lean on the Lord and look to Him for guidance.

3) Psalm 50:15
“[…] and call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me.”
God said it himself – call on him when you need help and he will deliver you!

4) Psalm 3:2-6
“Many are saying of me, ‘God will not deliver him.’ But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high. I call out to the Lord, and he answers me from his holy mountain. I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me. I will not fear though tens of thousands assail me on every side.”
There’s no need to lament with God on your side.

5) Joshua 10:25
“Joshua said to them, ‘Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Be strong and courageous. This is what the Lord will do to all the enemies you are going to fight.'”
With God on your side, you will not be defeated!

6) Romans 12:12
“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”
Prayer, patience and hope will help you through tough times.
