Parents Launch Petition to Stop Drag Queen Story Hours at Public Libraries

Drag Queens are now reading stories to young children at some public libraries, and parents are fighting back.

“Parents need to be aware that they are reading to preschool and elementary aged children in hopes to groom the next generation,” said Monica Cole of One Million Moms on The Todd Starnes Show. “It’s under the disguise of education, and instead of enhancing learning, they’re trying to brainwash these young children to normalize the LGBTQ lifestyle.”

Linda Harvey of Mission America said this is part of why people wonder what’s wrong with their kids today.

“When you’re being sold something that is so foundational to your human identity as to question whether you’re a boy or a girl at that age, this is very harmful and we know that there is an agenda,” Harvey explained. “Parents and communities and pastors need to speak up and say what’s on their hearts and minds.”

One Million Moms has a petition asking the American Library Association to cancel all Drag Queen Story Hours at affiliate libraries under its leadership.

“Check your school library and your public library constantly,” Harvey recommended. “Go see what the exhibits are, what they’re promoting, and you’ll get an idea of what is being normalized for your children.”

LifeSiteNews published photographs reportedly taken at a Drag Queen Story Hour inside St. John’s Library in Portland, Oregon. The pictures show young children cavorting on the floor with a man dressed as a woman.

Todd Starnes called it “shocking.”

“If you want to be a drag queen, this is America, it’s a free country,” said Starnes. “But the public library is not the place for that, especially Drag Queen Story Hours with 2-year-olds.”
