A mother who tackles the hot-button social and moral issues of the day is receiving threats for taking a stand against “Drag Queen Story Hours” at local libraries. As reported many times on OneNewsNow, men dressed as women are reading to children at public libraries in U.S. cities and towns. Elizabeth Johnston (aka the Activist Mommy) says the material they’re reading to children is “gender-bending” propaganda.
“This has gotten to the point where we have drag queens teaching classes, in our libraries, on how to do drag,” she mourned. “They are doing drag dances – and drag dancing is basically an adult nightclub culture of stripping and whatnot. It’s very immoral, very vile behavior; they’re not stripping naked in the Drag Queen Story Hours, but they are doing very lewd and vile things in our taxpayer-funded libraries.”
Recently, a drag queen explained why he wanted to read to toddlers. To quote him exactly, “This is going to be the grooming of the next generation. We are trying to groom the next generation.”
Johnston recently urged her supporters to contact their local libraries and “respectfully express their complaint.” The effort has been successful in getting some of the Drag Queen Story Hours canceled – but it has also spawned some threats against the activist and her family.
“We are being ruthlessly doxed and threatened in emails such as, You and your ten children need a bullet through your head and I will murder you and your children,” she continued.
What exactly should people say when contacting the library? “Tell the library that to be reading gender-bending, confusing books to children is not appropriate, especially on our taxpayer dime – and So please pull the program,” she suggested.
She offered the following advice on how to find out whether a local library has a drag queen event scheduled. “Check your library’s schedule,” Johnston instructed. “Go online, look at their calendar of events – and if you see a drag queen event, a ‘Drag Queen Story Hour,’ a Drag 101, immediately call your library and city leaders and express your concern.”
Johnston also recommended people encourage their friends, relatives, and church members to call. “It’s really exciting to watch the mama bears and papa bears rise up and get off the sidelines and say We do not stand for this,” she shared. “We’re not going to let the delusional one percent dictate to the 99 percent what our country is going to look like.”
There are some things so wrong that we cannot allow ourselves to get used to them. We can never accept them as the new status quo. The drag queen assault on our children is one of those things.
