Franklin Graham Blasts Bill Maher's "Vicious" Plan

1 Mins read

Bill Maher doesn’t care if Americans lose their job or have their families go hungry. He just wants President Trump out at any cost. In fact, he specifically said he is hoping for an economic recession (which basically means a loss of jobs and less pay for Americans) so that Trump will be put out of office.

The HBO host asked a guest on recently how the economy was doing under Trump. The guest, Shermichael Singelton, answered that it was doing well, “for now.” That led Maher to share his hope for America: “I feel like the bottom has to fall out at some point, and by the way, I’m hoping for it,” he said.

“I think one way you get rid of Trump is a crashing economy. So please, bring on the recession. Sorry if that hurts people, but it’s either root for a recession or you lose your democracy,” he added.

Franklin Graham wrote a strong post on Facebook, calling the host’s wish “vicious” and tagging him a socialist. Graham then went on to share that he is praying for the opposite of what Maher wants, asking God to bless Trump and make him successful so that America, in turn, can prosper.

“Bill Maher says he hopes for a recession so he can get rid of President Trump!” began Graham’s post. “He’s wishing suffering and pain for the entire country—a crashing economy—purely to fulfill his own political agenda. The liberal socialist left are so vicious in their eagerness for this president to fail, they have total disregard for the positive things he is doing for our nation. They just can’t stand the good news about the economy, jobs, the support of our military, and more.”

“What do Bill Maher and others with socialist-thinking like him want America to look like?” asked Graham. “Venezuela? Long food lines, anarchy, total collapse? I’m praying for President Trump not to fail, but to look to God for help, and to succeed. That means good things for Americans. I hope tens of thousands recognize the socialist agenda and are praying with me.”
